Why We Exist
The Mailing List Company was established in 2026 by Vicky Saunders.
I've spent my whole career working in marketing, PR and communications and in recent years I've built and run a number of small businesses. Despite my marketing background and knowing how vital it is to promote your small business, the sheer number of jobs I had to do as a sole trader meant that things like emailing my customers sometimes fell to the back burner.
However, with the seemingly unending focus on social media, I've become more and more passionate about explaining the vital importance of email marketing. So many small businesses work so hard on social media posts only for the algorithm to show them to a very small percentage of their customers.
Email is different. It's direct, it's straight into someone's inbox and it can be personalised. If your social media platform of choice shut down tomorrow all your followers would be gone but your mailing list would still be yours to use.

There's very little for you to do - but we want to ensure accuracy and that we are helping you as best as we can. That depends on where your business is at with email marketing. If it's something you have never explored before then you'll want to go for our mailing list set up service. ▶ What email platforms do you use?
There are many email platforms available and we'll work with you to establish your business objectives and which platform might work best for you. Our aim is always to find something which is simple and easy to use and which is budget-friendly. Our top pick for customers on our mailing list set-up service is MailerLite which allows for free use until you have 500 subscribers on your mailing list. For small businesses with limited or no marketing budget we find that this sort of set-up is ideal.
▶ Are there long-term contracts?
No. Our monthly support package is on a month-to-month basis. You can cancel anytime with two weeks notice. Set-up of your mailing list is a simple one-off service with no obligation to continue afterwards. However, many customers choose to move onto the monthly support package after the mailing list has been set up.
▶ How much time will I need to invest?
Very little! After an initial onboarding call to understand your brand and goals, we take care of writing, designing, and scheduling everything for you. If you are signed up to the monthly support package, we'll be in touch once a month to establish what news you want us to share and what your business objectives for that month are.
